Neal Campbell is back in the gadget news biz with a fresh take on what’s happening in the world of consumer electronics.

I’ve always wanted to produce documentaries. Making Gravity is the first. I did most of the work during the denial phase of the end of my marriage. Then during the turmoil of the divorce process, I misplaced the footage. A few days ago, I found it backed up with Time Machine on a Drobo. I made some adjustments and here it is. I’ve learned a lot since I shot and edited this a year and a half ago, but mostly I’m happy with Making Gravity.

I wanted to create a way to share these recipes in a new way. The result is OMG Yum! It’s a website and a Internet TV show (podcast). The recipes on the website are pretty standard, although I write them more like people used to write recipes before folks got so persnickety about measurements. The show is something different. Since a Web show doesn’t have to be a certain length, I’m able to cut out anything that isn’t essential to give you simple, step-by-step instructions for making food I hope will cause the people you love to cook for say, “Oh my God, YUM!”

One of the things in my life I’m most proud of is creating something that became a question (or is it answer?) on Jeopardy. We learned that lots of folks in traditional media paid attention to GeekBrief.TV for gadget news and out of interest in what we were accomplishing with the show. That writers at Jeopardy were watching and thought enough of the show to make it a question/answer is one of the coolest bits of my life.

UPDATE: Sadly, Chef Dave Teichman featured in the second video died February 16, 2009. He taught Luria and me the difference between good food and crap. Miss him HUGE!
